Count On Me

You might think our first lesson would be the easiest but teaching kids how to count is a multi-year process. Over the next few years (ages 2-5) our kids are going to:

We begin by helping them learn the names of numbers.

Your job - endlessly count fingers, toy cars, and overpriced organic edamame. Do this often, even when there’s little response, because we’re not only introducing the concept of counting but also ingraining the names of numbers into their memory. Some believe that counting is built in at birth, and at this stage we’re just giving them the words to unlock their mathematical potential.

In this lesson, we’ll focus on counting from 1-10.
